Pastor James Wilson
Dean of Students
James Wilson Jr. serves as the Pastor of Family Ministries for Freedom Life Church. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic and Organizational Leadership from Temple University and is currently finishing a Masters of Organizational Leadership from Concordia University. For the past 10 years, James has been a sought-after speaker for churches, organizations, and leaders about youth, marriages, and leadership development. Besides loving to study and teach, his passion is to find ways to blend the spiritual with the practical. James and wife, Ashley, have three daughters Karis, Kelsey, and Kyla.

Pastor Freddy Villarreal, M.A.R.
Founder, Chairman of the Board
In October of 2004, I had the privilege of joining along side 26 other people to start Freedom Life and have been here ever since. My energy is primarily spent focusing on the vision of our church, coordinating our preaching team and supporting our Kingdom initiatives. Our Kingdom partnerships include organizations like the Virginia Unity Project and the Peninsula Baptist Association. In addition to serving at FLC, I also have the honor of serving as an Associate Pastor at my mentor pastor’s church, The Chapel, a multi-campus church located in the northern suburbs of Chicago.
My wife Jen and I live in Yorktown, VA with four of our five children: Parker, Eli, Kaelin and Ty. Our oldest son and amazing daughter-in-law, Kyle and Jenny, live in Richmond.

Pastor Tim McCain
Director of Operations
Tim McCain, former homeless teen, ex convict, and CEO of a Software company. Tim spent 5 years on the streets, 7 years and 8 months in prison, and 20 years as CEO of a software firm. After he sold his company, Tim became an ordained minister at Freedom Life Church in Hampton, VA. Tim is a husband of 20 years and a father to 3.

Dr. Bryanna Vega
Instructor
After obtaining a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing working as a hospital based oncology nurse, Bryanna returned to school and obtained a Masters and doctorate degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. Since 2013, she has had the privilege of developing and overseeing the Missions and Outreach Ministry at Freedom Life Church, where she completed her pastoral training and ordination. Over the past 25 years, she has enjoyed learning through teaching God’s Word to children, youth, and adults in the US and abroad, following God’s call to, “Go and make disciples..,” (Mt. 28:19-20)

Pastor Cyon Edgerton
Instructor, Coach
After completing her undergrad work at the University of Michigan where she majored in Psychology, Cyon spent a number of years as a public educator and developer of online educational programs. She is the former Campus Pastor of Freedom Life Church Hampton where she spent 6 years on staff and completed her ordination. Currently, she serves as the founder and CEO of The Table Leadership, an organization that offers leadership courses and coaching to under-resourced leaders. Additionally, she serves as the Communications Pastor at her local church, on the leadership team for the Ezer Collective (an organization founded by Jo Saxton that seeks to equip and empower women leaders), and on the board of The Kukua Project (a non-profit that funds sustainable development projects in Africa). Cyon is currently completing a master’s degree in Global Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary. She lives with her husband and three kids in the East Bay in Northern California. She is passionate about raising up leaders who are not only professionally equipped for their calling, but also personally developed as disciples of Christ.

Pastor Chuck Macri, M.B.T.S.
Faculty Chair
Chuck Macri serves as Senior Associate Pastor of Discipleship at Freedom Life Church in Hampton. He holds a Masters in Biblical & Theological Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Bachelors in Engineering from Stevens Tech. Prior to his current position he was on staff for 18 years with Campus Crusade’s Military Ministry, serving as National Director and Deputy Executive Director. He has 30 years active & reserve service in the Air Force (in the Civil Engineer career field), retiring as a Colonel in 2009. Chuck and his wife, Karen, have 5 adult children (a son and 4 daughters) and 3 grandchildren.

Trevor Fisher
Director of IT and Administration
Trevor Fisher serves as Apprenticing Student Pastor at Freedom Life Church in Hampton. He graduated from Randolph-Macon College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science and Spanish. Trevor has served in media and student ministry for 3 years leading up to being invited into the Student Pastor position. He is passionate about discipleship and raising students up to walk out their faith. He is excited to be a part of the FSOM team and utilize skills and experience in computer software and administration.

Dr. Francisco Vega
Instructor
Francisco has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from MIT and Doctorates in Medicine and Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University. His work experience is as research faculty in Neurosciences at Johns Hopkins University and clinical work in Neurology, Epilepsy, Sleep disorders and Clinical Neurophysiology through his medical company. He has experience in organizing and participating in overseas mission trips for sustainable development and Bible training. He has been involved in Christian education for the last 35 yrs in teaching Bible studies in church venues. He enjoys understanding the cultural, historical, and language context of the Bible and applying it to the study of the Scriptures.

Reverend Dr. Brian Williams
Instructor
Brian lives in the space between congregational life and the academic community. He teaches biblical and theological courses in university and seminary settings. He is currently serving as a Field Strategist for the Baptist General Association of Virginia and Pastor of Ivy Memorial Baptist Church in Hampton. His passion is to provide seminary type training opportunities and experiences for ministry leaders. Brian has a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in biblical studies from Baylor University. He and his wife Donna have two grown daughters and four grandchildren.

Pastor John Pollock
Instructor
John Pollock has been a Teaching Pastor at Freedom Life Church since 2011. He has served in many of the ministries within the church with an emphasis on Preaching, Digging Deeper, and Children’s Ministry. John serves Freedom Life Church in a Lay capacity, sharing the calling to ministry with another interesting calling at Newport News Shipbuilding (where he is an Apprentice School graduate and Tooling Engineer in the Machine Shop.) John is currently working toward his Master’s of Divinity at Regent University, with intentions of pursuing further education in Biblical Language and Cultural Studies. John has been married to Danna for 9 years and they have two children – John (8) and Leora (5). They reside in Hampton, VA, love spending time together, and work together to grow their imagination and creative capacities.

Pastor Kyle Labadie
Instructor
Kyle Labadie is the Associate Pastor of Freedom Life Church in Hampton Virginia, where he has served in ministry for the past 7 years. He holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Church Ministries from South Western Assemblies of God University and has held credentials with the Assemblies of God in his early years of ministry (2007-2010). Through his life, Kyle has served in various roles of ministry as Student Pastor, Associate Campus Pastor, Campus Pastor, and a part of the Senior Leadership Team. He has been married for over 8 years to his beautiful bride Shawn, and has one energetic little boy, Tobias. Kyle’s desire is to see the Body of Christ healthy and operating in the fullness of its gifts, talents, and abilities through the power of Holy Spirit.
